Montreal as Canada's Cultural Capital

It is looks like we had stocked in Ottawa, sorry guys my mistake. Have been pretty busy those days. Anyway let's continue. As you remember our next stop should be in Montreal and here we go.

Well Montreal I can describe as Canada's Cultural Capital.

It is second largest city in Canada

and the second largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris.

I would say roughly that French-speaking and English-speaking half on half there.

So if your don't know French you would be ok in Montreal cause almost everybody there can speak English as long as French.

You can see a lot of Montreal in the famous movie The Whole Nine Yards with Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry.

Montreal view from the Mount Royal the triple-peaked hill located in the heart of the city.

You can have a good time at the Beaver Lake on the Mount Royal it is very nice place for picnic and rest.

The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York's Central Park.

And somehow downtown of Montreal reminds me Manhattan a little.

Basically I had a strong feeling that Montreal city is some kind of mix two the most famous cities in the world – Paris and New York.

For me it is hard to say is it good or bad but that mix is really beautiful.

Tour de la Bourse (Stock Exchange Tower)

Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montreal.

Cultural signs of the city

That is the good way to use a convertible :)

Catholic roots of the city

So I can say that Montreal is much prettiest in Spring than Winter time.
