Photo Journey through USA. New York - Charlotte
It was a nice trip through US some time ago from NY to Miami and back. I know this is not about Canada but this is our closets neighbour so maybe it would be interesting also.
It was a first step to our dream about journey through all USA's states. I want to repeat a journey of two soviet writers mr. Ilia Ilf and mr. Evgenii Petrov, they made their trip into USA between October 1935 and January 1936. They had many interesting meetings with Henri Ford, Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, Mark Twain and so on.
And after this whole trip they wrote a book "One Storey America" ("Little Golden America" - english version of this book) about their impressions of America.
By the way this trip were repeated by two Russian TV-stars Vladimir Pozner and Ivan Urgant in 2006. They did sixteen-episode documentary mini-series One Storey America.
So we had rented a car in New York city and we were ready to start.
Highway was not so interesting for us we wanted to see real America so we were going by small roads.
If I remember correct it was a Frederica city in Delaware state.
I love roads like this.
In my childhood I wanted to be a truck driver.
We wanted to see The Chesapeake Bay Bridge
It is really amazing.
It is the longest bridge tunnel in the world.
From air it looks like that
and from space like that
Virdginia Beach
Meeting the Ocean
Our first stop should be an neighbourhood in Charlotte, North Carolina, so we wanted to reach this place before night.
But we got there around 1 am.
After staying with our friends in Charlotte we went to Orlando, Florida.

Upper Canada Village or Back to the Future. Part 3
This is would be the last part of our story about Upper Canada Village.
As I said before you should be prepared to spend at least a half of day.
You can bring food with you because their restaurant not so good.
I love those kind of plates. We have something similar from Johnson Brothers which we have bought at The Bay store.
Some sort of washroom inside the bedroom.
People there not just playing like an actors they actually work there.
They know everything about their profession and they can tell you everything about it.
Two pretty ladies.
People there very proud about their work.
This guy from bakery work there for about 30 years. Can you imagine that?
This nice boy reminded me Tom Sawyer :)
BTW over there on the other side of river US is beginning.
So I can say that we are going to visit that place again for sure.
The End.
